THE HUG

Children's and family spaces in a big city like Sofia share a common purpose – to give children and parents a place where they can slow down and be together. A salt room fits that idea perfectly: a cosy setting where time spent is both meaningful and enjoyable.

For THE HUG, the HIMALAYA Build team created a salt room. In children's and family projects we always design for two audiences at once. Children should find something in the room that sparks their curiosity, such as shapes, lights and colours, while adults should find comfort and calm as they stay close by. Behind the look there is always a technical foundation that we plan from the design stage: a halogenerator of our own manufacture, with ventilation and lighting tailored to the room.

Halotherapy itself is associated with respiratory prevention, immune support in adults and children, and a sense of relaxation. For families it offers a shared activity that differs from the usual ones; for the venue it is a service that enriches its offering and can give visitors one more reason to come back.

If you are creating a place for children and parents and want a salt room to be part of it, write to us and we will find the right solution together.

For nurseries and children's centres the focus is on prevention, a play environment and a safe, attractive design that combines productive time with an enjoyable experience. In work with children who have special needs, a calm environment and engaging attention through light, shapes, colours and play with salt support the work of specialists.

Every project starts with a survey of the space and a working concept based on the venue’s goals. This is followed by technical planning of ventilation, lighting and equipment, construction of the salt surfaces and installation of our in-house halogenerator. We finish with setup and training on operation and maintenance, and remain available for service and consumables.
