Aquahouse Hotel & SPA is one of the most modern spa complexes on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. The investor's concept was for the salt room to resemble a real salt cave with fully sculpted walls and ceiling covered in fluffy salt plaster and delicate decorative lighting. The limited service space required a bespoke solution — a halogenerator with a split design between the mechanical unit and the control panel. This allowed us to meet the interior requirements without compromising on functionality.
Sv. Sv. Konstantin i Elena, near Varna, is one of the oldest resorts on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. In a seaside resort, the spa centre gives guests an alternative to the beach for evenings and cooler days, and a salt room adds one more calm indoor experience to it.
A salt cave concept calls for a different approach than a room with straight walls and corners. The walls and ceiling are fully sculpted so that the forms look natural, while the fluffy salt plaster softens the transitions between them. Delicate decorative lighting brings out the relief and completes the impression of stepping into a cave rather than a room.
The technical side mattered just as much. Service space at the venue is limited, so the halogenerator could not be installed in the usual way. Because we manufacture our own equipment, we developed a split-design unit – the mechanical part and the control panel are separated, so each can be installed wherever there is room for it. The interior stayed intact, with no compromise on functionality.
For guests, the result is a space with the atmosphere of a natural cave. Halotherapy is associated with preventive care for the respiratory system, supporting the immune system and a sense of relaxation, and the enveloping forms make time spent there even more restful. If your venue's concept calls for a distinctive interior but technical space is tight, tell us about the project – challenges like this are part of our work.
How we work on projects: Hotels and Spa Centres
A salt room is a natural complement to the spa zone and helps diversify the guests' stay. Beyond an attractive design and pleasant atmosphere, correctly selected equipment, safety in the humid environment and reliable long-term operation all play an important role.
Every project starts with a survey of the space and a working concept based on the venue’s goals. This is followed by technical planning of ventilation, lighting and equipment, construction of the salt surfaces and installation of our in-house halogenerator. We finish with setup and training on operation and maintenance, and remain available for service and consumables.
