Medite Spa Resort & Villas – Sintica

Located in one of Bulgaria's most sought-after spa regions, Sintica Hotel impresses with its Tuscan style and distinctive architectural arches. When designing the salt room, the task was for the interior to follow the complex's overall concept and to integrate naturally into the spa zone. The result was an elegant space with a view of the relaxation area through large windows, combining salt surfaces, decorative elements, and a halogenerator of our own manufacture.

Sandanski has long been associated with mineral springs and a mild climate, and many people come here for a break that relaxes and restores. In a setting like this, a salt room is not an exotic extra but a logical extension of the spa programme – one more quiet space that adds variety to a stay without guests having to leave the resort.

In a hotel with such a strong architectural character, the main challenge is making sure the salt room does not look out of place. That is why the starting point was the style of the complex rather than a ready-made template. The large windows, in turn, make the room part of the relaxation area: the eye moves freely between the two spaces, and the salt room reads as a natural extension of the spa centre.

The technical side is built around a halogenerator of our own manufacture. It grinds dry salt into fine particles and releases a dry salt aerosol, and its operation is planned together with the ventilation and lighting right from the design stage. When the equipment comes from the same team that designs and builds the room, settings, servicing and consumables stay in one pair of hands – a real advantage for a hotel where the service has to run day after day.

For guests, it is a pause in which to unwind in a salt environment – halotherapy is associated with respiratory prevention, immune support and a sense of relaxation. If your hotel has a distinctive style and you want the salt room to carry it forward rather than clash with it, we would be glad to discuss your project.

A salt room is a natural complement to the spa zone and helps diversify the guests' stay. Beyond an attractive design and pleasant atmosphere, correctly selected equipment, safety in the humid environment and reliable long-term operation all play an important role.

Every project starts with a survey of the space and a working concept based on the venue’s goals. This is followed by technical planning of ventilation, lighting and equipment, construction of the salt surfaces and installation of our in-house halogenerator. We finish with setup and training on operation and maintenance, and remain available for service and consumables.
