Sarnitsa lies in the Western Rhodopes, and the reservoir of the same name draws people looking for peace among mountains and water. In a setting like this, the spa centre is a natural extension of the holiday, and a salt room adds one more quiet space to it without guests having to leave the hotel.

The investor's three wishes – cosiness, effective halotherapy and a sense of space – can seem to pull in different directions at first. Cosiness comes mainly from the materials: fluffy salt plaster and decorative Himalayan brick elements. Effectiveness depends on the technology, which is why on our projects the halogenerator, ventilation and lighting are planned at the design stage rather than added at the end. The sense of space, meanwhile, calls for decorative accents to be kept measured so that they do not overload the room.

The halogenerator is made in-house. Salt is dosed according to the set parameters and programme, ground into fine particles and released into the room as a dry salt aerosol; once a session ends, the system can switch to a ventilation mode. For a newly built spa centre, this means a clear operating routine and a team the hotel can contact directly for servicing, settings and consumables.
