Kompleks Chukara

Tryavna is known for its woodcarving tradition and its National Revival architecture, and wood is a natural part of the town's character. Against this backdrop, the combination of salt and wood in the salt room at Kompleks Chukara feels particularly fitting. In a complex that welcomes both adults and children, the space has to work for different visitors – offering calm to some and a reason to play to others.

Working to a detailed 3D design means that shapes, proportions and materials are defined before construction begins. For a project with such specific requirements this is essential, because every curve and every transition between the salt plaster and the wooden elements has to follow the model precisely. The combination calls for real precision, as the two materials differ in character and texture.

The oval sandbox-style children's zone turns the salt room into a place for play as well. Children get a corner of their own, while adults can rest close by. In our children's projects this is exactly the kind of playful, safe environment we aim for, and halotherapy itself is associated with respiratory prevention, immune support in adults and children, and a sense of relaxation.
